I received some bad news this morning. A friend of mine passed away last night. I used to work for him and his partner a couple of years ago. Their daughter also went to school with my son for a while - before we moved and then came back. I've been walking around on auto-pilot all morning and I'm now sat at my desk in work. I really don't want to be here today - but I hoped it would keep me ..busy..distracted - something to keep my mind off it. But, as per usual - today is a quiet day and I'm in the office all on my own.
I don't even feel like celebrating my 95% pass grade on my first CMA submission
I've got my first assignment for my second course starting tomorrow too. My router at home is currently dead. So I can only access the internet from work - thus I can only access my course materials from work ![]()
I have some blank dvd's to buy so that I can create some image dvd's for both of my clients. My printer at home is being stupid - I think it needs new ink.. but because of the sleepy little village I live in.. there's nowhere I can get any from. I could order them off the internet but then I kinda need them asap!
The idea I'd had for my 2nd and 3rd assignments for my heritage course now has to be changed. I hadn't even read Chapter 10 (which isn't until after Xmas anyway) there was no option there to click on it before.. anyway - today I can click on it.. Chapter 10 is basically all about case studies. I'm not allowed to use any of the case studies in my assignment. Reading through Chapter 10, I discovered that my original idea - The Battle of Culloden Moor as part of my heritage is one of the case studies, along with Bannockburn
Now I have to think of something else!
Anyway, time for some camomile tea before I do a spot of hoovering. Hope everyone else is well
Production of the charity single will commence tomorrow at 1pm. There will be tv crews, news crews and a plethora of photographers attending. It's all really exciting!
The website has once again come under scrutiny. Mainly from myself and the campaign leader. Neither of us are happy with the current design - even though I did it. It was a rushed job as I was given less than 24 hours notice. But we've both known from the start that it was only a temporary design. The new one is brighter, funkier and doesn't look so..political! I'll update this as soon as the new design goes live - I'm currently in the testing stages - making sure everything works as it should etc.
There is now also a discussion board as part of the main website. This is so that people are able to discuss campaign related issues as a community and not have to rely on Bookface - apparently..after a group reaches 5000.. the ability to send mass messages is taken away
It's just easier and more convenient to have the discussion board ![]()
We've managed to gain the support of a Lancashire performing arts school too. The GCSE students are helping us with creating DVD to raise awareness in youngsters and it's also been made a part of their coursework too and will run through until next year
My article for UK Youth magazine The Source is now available online - if you're interested you can find the article HERE it's on page 17. You'll need flash player to view it
I may have some new stock up over the next couple of days - we shall see what delights my camera spews out at me once I've transfered all my images over to my PC ![]()
All model stock is on hold once again - the "fault" is on my side this time. I have a number of other, more important projects to concentrate on - starting with being a mum, my studies, work and of course the photography work for my client. I'm hoping to get some model stock done by the end of the year - but it really does depend on finances, time and indeed whether I can convince Sian to come on location with me
weather isn't too much of an issue - not for the stuff I have in mind any way
A stamp:
- enjoy! Feel free to make me one
