Well, today I'm half-way through my first course (photography) relating to my open degree. I submitted my first CMA (computer marked assignment) this morning and I'll get my results/feedback sometime after November 10th. Next week marks the half way mark for my second course(heritage)too.
I'm currently on 'holiday'. It's more like a working holiday as I'm working my butt off in regards to the campaign
Friday however, I'll be over in Leeds on a location shoot with a gorgeous alternative model
I really can't wait!
I do have a few other projects in the pipeline including a photobook or two and I'm currently trying to organise a small exhibition of my works to take place sometime in December.
My personal project is taking shape very nicely and as you can tell; I've been experimenting recently with some HDR photography. I'm hoping to have some more of that over the next few weeks.
Work for my client now has a completion date
Everything will be finished and sent off by November 15th
His album isn't being released until January and I'll get a copy of the album cover and sleeve up as soon as is permissable.
I'm as busy as ever and my life is rather hectic. I still have Paul's 8th birthday party to plan and organise along with finalising things for Yule - who's going where etc. I'm not sure yet if Paul will be spending Yule with his dad and his new girlfriend
Either way, I reckon it'll be a good one this year. Paul asked for a laptop for his birthday - between you and me.. he has got one ![]()
My laptop still needs a new processor and my second desktop system needs to be totally rebuilt. This is something that will be carried out over the next few weeks also. There may even be some stock stuff submitted as a result of transfering files etc..who knows!
Production of the charity single will commence tomorrow at 1pm. There will be tv crews, news crews and a plethora of photographers attending. It's all really exciting!
The website has once again come under scrutiny. Mainly from myself and the campaign leader. Neither of us are happy with the current design - even though I did it. It was a rushed job as I was given less than 24 hours notice. But we've both known from the start that it was only a temporary design. The new one is brighter, funkier and doesn't look so..political! I'll update this as soon as the new design goes live - I'm currently in the testing stages - making sure everything works as it should etc.
There is now also a discussion board as part of the main website. This is so that people are able to discuss campaign related issues as a community and not have to rely on Bookface - apparently..after a group reaches 5000.. the ability to send mass messages is taken away
It's just easier and more convenient to have the discussion board ![]()
We've managed to gain the support of a Lancashire performing arts school too. The GCSE students are helping us with creating DVD to raise awareness in youngsters and it's also been made a part of their coursework too and will run through until next year
My article for UK Youth magazine The Source is now available online - if you're interested you can find the article HERE it's on page 17. You'll need flash player to view it
I may have some new stock up over the next couple of days - we shall see what delights my camera spews out at me once I've transfered all my images over to my PC ![]()
All model stock is on hold once again - the "fault" is on my side this time. I have a number of other, more important projects to concentrate on - starting with being a mum, my studies, work and of course the photography work for my client. I'm hoping to get some model stock done by the end of the year - but it really does depend on finances, time and indeed whether I can convince Sian to come on location with me
weather isn't too much of an issue - not for the stuff I have in mind any way
A stamp:
- enjoy! Feel free to make me one
